Park Vilalge sits within this growing Sheffield presence, and the General Manager for this site plays a central role in delivering the Flow experience to residents day to day.

The Role

MCR Property Group is a leading independent real estate investment and development company operating nationally, with offices in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow. The business develops and manages residential, student accommodation and industrial assets, and Flow Student forms part of this wider portfolio.

MCR Property Group is seeking an experienced and commercially minded General Manager to lead the day to day operation of Park Village, Sheffield, one of the Flow Student sites within the region. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, this is a hands on leadership role with full accountability for resident experience, occupancy and revenue performance, compliance, income collection and team leadership at the site. The role also carries a wider business support remit, supporting operational standards and reporting across other accommodation sites in the Sheffield portfolio when required.

Site Leadership and Operations

  • Take full ownership of the day to day operation of Park Village, ensuring the building is safe, well maintained and presented to a consistently high standard.
  • Lead the on site team, including cleaning, maintenance and security functions, ensuring service standards are upheld at all times.
  • Conduct regular audits and operational reviews, identifying opportunities for improvement and acting on them.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including health and safety, fire safety, environmental standards and the ANUK or Unipol Code.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and reporting for the site, and contribute to consistent reporting standards across other Sheffield sites where required.

Resident Experience

  • Build a service led culture where resident satisfaction sits at the heart of every decision made on site.
  • Monitor resident feedback closely and put improvement plans in place where needed.
  • Ensure the team delivers a professional, responsive and solution focused service at all times.
  • Manage complaints and welfare related matters sensitively and effectively.
  • Develop strong working relationships with local universities, student bodies and community partners.

Commercial Performance

  • Drive strong occupancy and revenue performance for Park Village throughout the letting cycle.
  • Work closely with central marketing and lettings teams on pricing strategy, monitoring market trends across the Sheffield student market.
  • Oversee site events and viewings, and deliver resident engagement initiatives that support retention and renewals.
  • Report regularly on occupancy, revenue and costs, using data to inform decisions and improve performance.

Income and Credit Control

  • Lead on rent collection and income protection for the site, ensuring credit control procedures are followed consistently.
  • Escalate arrears appropriately and support the team in handling sensitive financial conversations with professionalism and clarity.
  • Produce accurate reporting on debt performance and implement structured recovery plans where required.

People Leadership

  • Provide visible, positive leadership to the site team, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing development.
  • Conduct regular one to ones, performance reviews and coaching sessions.
  • Promote high standards of professionalism, accountability and collaboration, embedding a culture of continuous improvement.

About You

You will bring significant experience in accommodation, property, hospitality or operational management, ideally including responsibility for a purpose built or managed site. You will have a strong understanding of compliance requirements and operational best practice, alongside proven experience in debt management, credit control and income recovery.

You will demonstrate excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, strong commercial awareness and a track record of driving occupancy and revenue growth. Confidence using Microsoft Office and property management systems is essential, as is a flexible and hands on approach to site based work.

This role would suit a driven, resilient and highly organised professional who enjoys leading from the front and delivering results across resident experience, compliance and commercial performance.
