Your responsibilities
We are currently looking for an experienced Contracts Manager with experience in New Build project delivery to join our team in the Greater London and surrounding areas. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced thriving business with opportunities for growth and development. As our new Construction Manager, you will have extensive experience with developing comprehensive project plans to ensure you deliver successful completed projects on time, incorporating budget control, resource allocation and team management. You will always have a keen interest in Health and Safety on site, being forefront to safe working environments. Risk Assessments will be always conducted and adhered to with every project in your portfolio.
Cost Management is paramount. You will be capable of monitoring project budgets, control costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Using your network of supply chain partners, you will be able to coordinate the procurement of materials and equipment required for construction projects.
You will coordinate with all contractors and subcontractors on your projects, ensuring communication with all parties including stakeholders are clear and concise. As part of the delivery of projects, you will have broad experience in overseeing the pre-construction of all new projects, including design phases, from RIBA stage 2 through to RIBA stage 6.
In this new role, you will manage schedules with all parties, ensuring that milestones are met, and projects are completed on time. Your management of all construction packages will be strengthened with your ability to build and lead a team of construction professionals, including subcontractors and suppliers, in order to execute projects effectively.
Your Qualifications and Experience
You will hold a bachelor’s degree (BA) Hons in Construction Management, Beng in Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, with a strong background in new build housing and high-rise apartments, residential conversions and building safety refurbishments.
An extensive knowledge of construction management software and tools.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Advanced skills with Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint
