Location: Sunderland, Clanny House (office based)

Duration: Permanent, full time

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Supervise/oversee operations conducted within department to ensure quality and service
• Responsible for overall planning, monitoring, and control of maintenance of the properties
• Perform daily checks within the accommodation and the grounds
• Look after the maintenance of all the fixture and fittings
• Health & Safety paperwork management and ensuring the site remains compliant by testing fire alarms, inspecting emergency lighting, checking security appliances and to log routine safety checks
• Repairs as needed and reported by residents
• Providing excellent guest service by resolving maintenance issues in a timely manner
• Stand in to cover when the Maintenance Manager is on leave

Requirements

• Formal qualifications or time-served experience in Electrical, Mechanical or Plumbing trades
• Confident in dealing with general repairs such as fixing leaks, painting, changing locks etc.
• Test fire alarms, inspect emergency lighting, check security appliances, and log routine safety checks
• Effective verbal skills to coordinate with outside vendors and senior management
• Experience in a supervisory role would be beneficial but not essential
