London Acquisitions Analyst / Sr Analyst – Real Estate Investment & Development
MCR Property Group (‘MCR’) is a multi-billion-pound property investment and development company operating across a diverse range of real estate sectors; including commercial, residential, student accommodation, offices, hotels, industrial, and retail.
Since 1989, MCR has successfully acquired, developed, and managed over £6 billion of property and currently manages a portfolio of over 5,500 residential units, 9,000 student beds, 5 hotels, and more than 3,500,000 square feet of commercial assets across the UK.
MCR has raised a revolving credit facility to acquire over £1 billion of assets over the next year and is seeking an experienced real estate investment and development Analyst to join the London acquisitions team. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills with proven experience producing Investment Committee and research reports, underwriting and valuing assets, as well as the ability to source investment opportunities across all property sectors throughout the UK.
Responsibilities:
Support the acquisitions team by creating development appraisals and cash flow models
Conduct market research and property-level due diligence
Source, review, and negotiate multi-sector real estate opportunities for value-add investment
Coordinate and manage input from professional consultants
Work closely with internal planning, development, asset management, sales, and lettings teams
Support and participate in legal reviews through to completion
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in the real estate industry, ideally from a commercial real estate agency or brokerage background
Excel proficiency, with demonstrable experience building real estate cash flow models
Excellent analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to confidential produce and present investment committee reports to internal stakeholders
Strong market knowledge of the residential and commercial sectors; including Build-to-Rent, PRS, PBSA, Office, and Industrial
Commercial awareness and the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate investment risk
Proven ability of creating market research reports and investment comparable packages for investment committee presentations.
Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume acquisitions environment
Candidate Preferences:
RICS qualified
Previous experience in commercial real estate agency/brokerage
Proven track record of successful acquisitions or sales across any real estate sector (preferably residential, PBSA, office, commercial, serviced apartments, hotels, etc.)
Knowledge and prior experience with office-to-residential conversions is preferred but not required.
